Students at higher educational establishments are expected to
write academic papers in the form of assignments, projects, term papers, and
even research thesis. Every research and academic must have an introductory
part. Here are some of the introductory essay writing tips that school students
are able to learn from.

1). Start your essay paper with the introductory statement,
phrase, or statement which sets the tone for your paper. This is the entrance
into the paper that catches the attention of the reader and must be written
with clarity. The introduction should be able to discuss what the paper is all
about or the main idea of the research topic or subject.

2). In the introductory page, you need to include the outline
of your research paper or main factors supporting your topic, written in point
form. It should provide the context of the study and related information, limit
the scope of your discussion questions and finally, state your position and
personal contention on the matter.

3). You can start your introduction in different ways
including either, a question posed, surprising facts or you can start with an
anecdote or something that sets the stage to grab the attention of the reader.
You can also start with statistics on the issue being explored or personal
ordeal or situation in life.

4). The introductory paragraph of the essay paper can either
be a shorter or longer sentence that paints a certain picture in the mind of
the readers.
