Academic papers should have a standardized format that is acceptable to colleges and universities. Every good paper should convey a flow of knowledge and facts, with logical thought, presented in a clear, cohesive, and concise manner. A good college paper should come out in the following structure:
1). Introduction:
The introduction of a scholarly paper is normally used as a way of making the topic clear and interesting by the reader what you are going to say in the paper. It is also here that the background is described, the research statement is established and the purpose/ objectives of the research is stipulated. It is a road map of what the paper intends to follow.
2). Thesis statement:
This is the sentence that sums up the central point that your paper is all about, and usually comes at the end of the introduction. Here the writer should state the main idea of what they want to get across.
3). Main body paragraphs:
This is where the writer gives the supporting evidence to back the thesis statement in a report, essay or report. This includes the topic sentence or key sentence, relevant supporting sentences, and a closing or transition sentence.
4). Conclusion:
This is where the writer restates the topic, a thesis, and briefly summarizes the main points. It is here that the writer is reminding them of what they have said in the main paper.
