Student life can be a fun time as well as stressful. And this is the period of time in which most students make costly mistakes. Here are the 10 biggest mistakes college students make, which you must avoid at all cost:

1). Missing too many classes unnecessarily, thus leading to poor class attendance: Most students have the tendency of missing lectures in the name of having fun  by staying up late. In the process, they miss out on key areas and topics introduced by the professor.

2). Not able to manage their resources and time well while in college, which leads to missed opportunities and therefore become overwhelmed with stress.

3). Not managing your course credits well, which would prove to be costly in graduation requirements. As a student, you're to get the proper advice on which modules and credit hours you need to get your upper class degree requirements.

4). Taking too many classes at the same time.  This is a mistake that many students make and, especially when they are freshers, the tendency to acquire too much information from many courses which in the end may prove to be strenuous on them.

5). Picking the majors too soon. Most students know what they want from the word go when join college the first time, but there is a temptation of choosing the majors too soon without considering the variety of course modules may develop other outside course interests.

6). Not able to get enough sleep. Most students don't have time between their studies to relax, sleep and have leisure time. This put their lives at risk due to health complications, mental ill-health and stress related problems.

7). Not able to get time to socialize and socially interact with others. Most students make a mistake of being too serious with  school work that they avoid their peer interaction, which is also important in their student life.

8). Not able to keep track of your spending: Being that most students have gone to college for the first time as freshers, most of them may not have the skills and experience of living lone and therefore manage their own finances. This often leads them into debt.

9). Not being careful about social media. Social media has been somewhat destructive and constructive in many ways to students, therefore, one must learn to manage their own time and space on the internet.

10). Excitement of meeting new friends and not being able to watch out for destructive elements. So take care of who you interact with and be friend.
